BMW Motorrad Canada “WIN A BMW S1000RR” Contest
CONTEST RULES AND REGULATIONS
Contest Dates:The BMW Motorrad Canada “Win a BMW S1000RR” contest (the “Contest”) is open from December 11, 2009 to August 15, 2010. The official contest draw date is August 23, 2010. One entry ballot will be randomly selected from all eligible ballots.
Prize:The following prize will be awarded: One (1) Grand Prize consisting of a 2010 BMW S1000RR. The 2010 BMW S1000RR motorcycle will be awarded with Race ABS, Dynamic Traction Control and Shift Assist included. Approximate retail value of $17,300 CDN. Any other expenses incurred including freight, PDI, taxes, administration fees, licencing, insurance, maintenance and fuel costs will be the responsibility of the winner.
Eligibility:No purchase necessary. One entry per person. To be eligible, contest entry ballots must be received no later than midnight on August 15, 2010 (Contest Closing Date) or will be void.
Contest participants can enter by depositing the official entry ballot into the “Win a BMW S1000RR” contest ballot box available at all MMIC winter motorcycle shows, BMW Motorrad Canada retailer demo ride days, Canadian Superbike race weekends and other BMW Motorrad Canada events across Canada to be announced at a later date.
To determine the winner, a random draw will be made at BMW Motorrad Canada headquarters in Whitby, Ontario at approximately 3:00 p.m. on Monday August 23, 2010 (Richmond Hill, Ontario after March 15th, 2010), from all eligible entries received on or before the Contest Closing Date. In order to win, the selected entrant must have completely filled out the contest ballot and correctly answered, unaided, the mathematical skill testing question. The contest is open to all residents of Canada who have reached the age of majority in his/her province of residence and who have a valid motorcycle license, except employees of BMW Motorrad Canada and their immediate family members, its subsidiaries and associated companies, agents, and advertising agencies. This contest is subject to all federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations. The winner must agree to the use of his/her name and/or photograph in any related publicity and its unlimited usage without compensation. For residents of Quebec, any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Regie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Regie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
Notification and awarding of prize:
Winner will be notified by email or via telephone. Winner must sign a Declaration and Release form confirming compliance with all contest rules and releasing the sponsor and its agents from all liability relating to the prizes. The odds of winning a prize depend on the number of eligible entries received. No correspondence will be entered into except with the selected entrant.
Additional terms and conditions:
A) All entries become the property of BMW Motorrad Canada.
B) Limit of one entry per person.
C) If the selected entrant cannot be contacted by phone at the phone number or email address listed on the entry ballot within 30 days of being selected, he/she will not be eligible to win the prize and an alternate entrant will be randomly selected.
D) The prize is not transferable or convertible into cash or otherwise and must be accepted as awarded.
E) Subject to the jurisdiction of the Regie des alcools, des courses et des jeux in Quebec, BMW Motorrad Canada reserves the right to amend or terminate all or any portion of this Contest at any time for any reason without prior notice.
F) This contest is subject to all Canadian Federal, Provincial and Municipal laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.
G) Ballot entries obtained from unauthorized sources or that are incomplete, illegible, mutilated, altered, mechanically reproduced, forged, counterfeited, or irregular in any way will be considered void.
