If a manufacturing issue arises, your BMW Motorrad Warranty protects against defects in materials or workmanship, covering repairs or replacements at no charge for parts or labour.

How long is the warranty?
Every new BMW motorcycle comes with a 3-year limited warranty that begins on the date of first retail sale or when the bike is placed into service, whichever comes first.
Can the warranty be extended beyond 3 years?
For an additional cost, BMW Motorrad Mechanical Breakdown Protection can be purchased for up to 6 additional years beyond your new vehicle limited warranty. Please contact your area BMW Motorrad Retailer for terms and conditions.
What does the warranty cover?
The BMW Motorrad new vehicle limited warranty covers defect in materials or workmanship. If a part fails due to a manufacturing issue, it may be repaired or replaced at no charge for parts or labour. Conditions apply. Please download the warranty manual for more details.
Are accessories or performance upgrades covered?
No. Modification of a BMW Motorcycle and/or the installation/ attachment of any non-BMW Motorrad approved performance accessories and/or components to the motorcycle that alters the original engineering, and/or operating specifications, and/or that results in damage to the original and other vehicle components voids the warranty coverage. How do I make a warranty claim?
Take your motorcycle to an authorized BMW Motorrad Retailer as soon as an issue appears, to determine eligibility. In all cases, a reasonable amount of time must be allowed for warranty repairs to be completed after the vehicle is received by the authorized BMW Motorrad Retailer.
